    What is the difference between the self-storage facility and the furniture storage warehouse ?

    Self-storage is more flexible and more simple, which means more freedom. At Box en Loc youor belongings are accessible 24 hours a days, 7 days a week with nol appointment and no extra cost. No entry fees, no exit fees. No charge for change in volume.

    What is the difference between the self-storage facility and renting a car park ?

    Box en Loc guarantees that your belongings are carefully looked after ( remote monitoring, video surveillance and fire protection). Your belongings are insured up to €2000 ( even €3000 with a complementary insurance). Moreover your are under no obligation to pay a deposit, additional charges( residence tax, co-ownership charges) or sign a lease and you have only a 14-day notice.

    Questions about the storage facility and my storage unit :

    Can I go round storage facilities ?

    You cannot go round storage facilities because they are not permanently manned. However, you can have a look at some pictures of the storage facilities on this website to get an idea. A visit can be arranged by appointement if necessary (particularly for professionals) by calling 06.08.27.51.58.

    Can a vehicle get close to the storage unit ?

    You can drive to the front door of each storage facility very easily. Some handling equipment is at your disposal.

    Are trolleys or two wheeled trollesy available ?

    In each storage facility, you'll find at the entrance all the necessary equipment (trolleys, two wheeled trolleys, pallet trucks) to move your belongings and put them away in your storage unit.

    Does Box en Loc offer removal services ?

    Box en Loc is not a removals firm. Our customers have to deal with carrying and handling their belongings on their own. The handling equipment is available when you arrive at the storage facility.

    How do I find my storage unit il the storage facility ?

    A plan is put up at the entrance in each storage facility.

    When can I reach my storage unit ?

    Your storage unit is accessible 24 hour a day and 7 days a week through your personnal entry code.

    Comment est assurée la surveillance de mes biens ?How are my belongins protected ?

    Each storage facility is equipped with a 24-hr remote monitoring service:  the alarm is automatically desactivate when you tip your code. Moreover, all your storage facilities are equipped with a video surveillance system, which allows to identify people in the event of a problem and with a fire protection system.

    Are the storage facilities heated ?

    The storage facilities are not heated and are only under frost protection.

    What am I allowed to store in my storage unit ?

    Storage of any item clssified as ordinary risk product in terms of insurance is allowed, subject to the prohibition on storage mentioned in your contract.

    How much is the compensation in case of sinister ?

    The coverage for the risk has an upper limit fixed at €2000 by storage unit. The limit of coverage can be increased up to €3000 by storage unit (see complementary insurance to be taken out in addition to the standard rate). In case the goods stored are worth more than €2000 (€3000 with the complementary insurance), you'll have to take out your own insurance and to waive any claim against Box en Loc. Please note that only goods, the storage of which is allowed, are insured.

    What sort of paddlock should I by ?

    The padlock must be between 20 and 40-mm wide and the diameter of the shackle must be 7mm in diameter at a maximum.
    Particular case of people with reduced mobility: we invite us to contact us directly by phone or by email so that we can make available to them a unit best suited to their needs.

    How large should my storage unit be ?

    You'll find on this site, in the main menu bar "size storage" to help you to decide.

    Can I change storage units if I need more or less space ?

    You're free to change storage units any times on "my account" on the website or contact Box en Loc customer services. We don't charge for changes.

    What if there is no suitable storage unit left ?

    In case a required storage unit is not available, you can put down your name on a waiting list. You can contact Box en Loc customer services to find the better solution for your needs.

    I'd like to rent a storage only for a few days

    At Box en Loc, there is no lease, no deposit, only a 14-day notice but the first month of the rental period is due in full. After the first month , the fees are in proportion to the number of additional days.

    Should I sign a lease at the beginning of the rental period ?

    There is no lease to sign.

    What administrative documents should I supply at yhe beginning of the rental period ?

    At the beginning of the period, as a private individual, I'll have to supply the photocopies af identification, proof of adress less than 3 months old and to return the signed and initialed agreement.

    Should I pay a deposit at the beginning of the rental period ?

    No deposit is required at the beginning of the rental period.

    When I will receive my entry code to the storage facility ?

    The entry code are sent by SMS after pay.

    Questions about my payments

    Can I pay by transfer and/or banker's order ?

    You can pay by transfer and it's advisable (automatic transfer or transfer made monthly on our website). However your account cannot be debited by Box en Loc through banker's orders.

    Can I pay by cheque or in cash ?

    You can pay by cheque but an extra 3€ by settlement is required for manual processing. You can also in cash in any branch of the Caisse d'Epargne on Box en Loc's account.

    How can I download Box en Loc's bank account details ?

    Just log onto your account and click on " download account details".

    Can I download my invoices from my account ?

    Yes, your account contains a link to download all your invoices.

    Can I download my contract from my account ?

    Yes, your account contains a link to download all your contract.

    What should I do if I change my address ?

    If you move house, the simplest way to update your contact details is to log into your account and click on "Change contact details" 

    What should I do when I'd like to leave my storage unit ?

    Notice must be given 14 days before leaving via our website, by logging into your account.
